Climate Farmer Stories Project – Sweetland Farm
The Climate Farmer Stories Project
These illustrations are part of a two year project funded by the USDA and Vital Communities. The project pairs artists with farmers to help tell the story of how agriculture impacts the climate, and how farmers using regenerative methods are helping draw down carbon, build food security, and make their soil more resilient to climate change chaos. The art is used in a traveling exhibit reaching people outside typical art venues — libraries, farmers markets and other locations — and in an ad campaign. The public exhibit kicked off April 1 2023, with artwork and interviews featuring 13 Vermont and New Hampshire farmers and 7 artists.
